Donald Baylis

Donald "Don" Howard Baylis passed away surrounded by loved ones March 28, 2025 at Juravinski Hospital in Hamilton, Ontario. Don is loved and survived by his wife of 61 years Shirley May (nee Fuller) and his sister Marilyn (Cinti). Predeceased by his parents Herbert and May Daisy (nee Howard), sisters Edith (Dickie) and Vera (Christmas). Don loved his six children Steven, Bruce, Mark, Michael (Andrea nee Hannan), Caron (Bernie Laprade deceased) and Victoria (Les Michalak). He was the proud grandfather of Kyle (Becca Todd), Zachary (Joanna Wesolowski), Kainan and Nikolas (Sarah Mackay). Don came full circle ending his natural life in Hamilton, Ontario after being born there 93 years ago. Don was a proud draftsman for over 50 years and contributed significantly to many heavy industrial piping projects in the local community and internationally. Don also spent many hours enjoying his pastimes of snooker, puzzle solving, jigsaw construction, photography and golfing. He will be remembered by his family in private with much love. To celebrate Don's life the family suggests donations to Juravinski Hospital. Thank you to Wentworth Heights Manor and the staff at Juravinski Hospital for their generous care. Dad, we hope you find a good snooker game, Special K cereal and raisin butter tarts wherever you may be. We are all so very proud of you and will never forget the many ways you touched all our lives. Rest in peace, you will always be with us.
