Agnes Bolan

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Agnes Bolan, on December 3, 2024 in her 100th year. Agnes was the much loved mother of David, Robert (Marlene), George (Gale), Terry (Linda) and Trish and predeceased by sons John and Paul and daughter, Barbara. Grandmother to Lori, Lisa, Johanna, Jesse (predeceased), Michelle, Christopher, Adrienne, Arlen and Chelsea, as well as many great-grandchildren. Her family was the absolute light of her life.  

Agnes was predeceased by her brothers, George, Hilary and Senley and sisters, Vivian and Teresa. 

Born in Cape Breton, Agnes moved to Hamilton in her twenties where she raised her family. She worked for the Ontario Hospital for many years, where her integrity, dedication, spirit and great sense of humour were well known. Agnes was a loyal fan of the Hamilton Tiger-Cats and also loved watching her NHL games.  Agnes’ amazing strength, kindness, compassion, generosity and fun-loving nature leaves her family, loved ones and friends with memories that will last a lifetime.

 Cremation has taken place. A private service will be held at a later date
